CRA’s half-day Public Speaking Workshop was developed to help managing directors (and aspiring managing directors) improve their message development and presentation skills.
This workshop will cover ...
- 5 Effective Criteria of an Effective Presentation;
- Hands-on refinement of a PowerPoint; and
- Peer critiques of participants’ presentations
Attendance is limited to 20 participants to ensure individual attention.
Note: This session requires advance homework! Attendees are asked to prepare a 5-7-minute PowerPoint (or other) presentation entitled “Overview of Transportation Infrastructure Needs in _____(your)_____ County.”
Presenter: Dr. Bill Donohue, Distinguished Professor of Communication and 30-year public speaking instructor at Michigan State University.
Dr. Donohue has consulted with and trained a variety of professionals in effective messaging, including the Michigan State Police, the Office of Highway Safety Planning, the Michigan Judicial Institute and professionals from the agriculture, food service, gaming and insurance industries.
